Pau D'Arco Tea "My wife says that the tea bags aren't as strong as others, but they work just fine. She has been drinking it by the potful and even our dog (a Greyhound) gets some on his dog-nuggets. Both have promising signs of recovery." -- Chuck (ND student)

Pau D'Arco Bark has been an important part of tribal healing in the South American rainforest for thousands of years. It has been used as a traditional treatment for a wide variety of conditions both internally and externally. Modern science has validated Pau D'Arco's effectiveness as a treatment for a number of conditions including; constipation, tumour reduction and suppression (leukemia in particular), pain reduction, anti-biotic and anti-fungal. Part of the herb's effectiveness may stem from the fact that it is a powerful antioxidant and it appears to increase the production of red blood cells. This herb contains napthaquinines (lapachol being the major one), anthraquinones, lapachol, beta-lapachone, quercitin, xloidone and a number of other phytochemicals.

Directions
Fresh drawn, boiling water contains the most oxygen, thereby giving the fullest taste to tea. Water that has been boiling for some time looses the oxygen and thereby the best taste.
Allow full expansion during the infusion and easy removal after the time for steeping has elapsed.
Draw into a tea pot or kettle the best fresh water that you have available.
Warm the teapot and cups while the water is boiling.
Cautions
May cause nausea. Do not use in combination with anti-coagulant drugs, without seeking professional medical advice.
